Why Host an Annual Fundraiser?
Sojourner House strives to make our programs accessible to all who need help. To do so, we rely on donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations to underwrite the cost of safe, affordable housing, children’s programming, educational and job readiness programs, and community resources.
Sojourner House provides 24-hour residential rehabilitation services for 14 families at any given time. Mothers can bring three children and stay up to six months while receiving intensive substance use disorder treatment. Sojourner House MOMS’ supportive housing and permanent housing provide shelter to families in recovery and help them confidently transition into the community. Funds raised at the Victorian Tea events annually support the recovery of nearly 80 families in Sojourner House’s treatment and residential programs.

Silent Auction and Raffle
The silent auction and raffle at the Victorian Tea is an important part of the event. The auction items and raffle prizes are generously donated by local businesses, corporate sponsors, board members, and long-time supporters. With every auction item sold and raffle basket won by a lucky attendee, all the proceeds support Sojourner House’s mission and the vital programming helping families in need of lifesaving recovery support.
Fascinating Fascinators for the Occasion
We are always blown away by the hats and fascinators people wear to Victorian Tea! Although there isn’t a dress code, everyone enjoys dressing up for tea and making the event feel extra special.
