Sojourner House To Host Fifth Annual Victorian Tea "Friendraiser"
Sojourner House will host its sixth annual Victorian Tea, Saturday, April 24, 1 to 3 p.m., at Churchill Valley Country Club, 800 Beulah Road, Churchill.
Those in attendance can enjoy a delicious tea, silent auction and raffle while learning about the award-winning work of East Liberty-based Sojourner House, a six-month residential rehabilitation program for addicted mothers and their children, and the inspiring stories of the families who live there. This year’s Pearl of Hope honoree is long-time Sojourner House volunteer June Rush, a Greentree resident. Charlotte Beukema, of Shadyside, and Lee Friday, also of Shadyside, are serving as this year’s honorary chairpersons. Sojourner House MOMS board president Anne Crawford, of O’Hara Township, is chairperson.
Sponsors for this year’s tea include Highmark, First Niagara, Colonial Title, and Fifth Third Bank. During this event, participants will be asked to consider supporting Sojourner House with a contribution or by giving their time to volunteer.
